Karahui Wine Bar & Eatery is the newest edition to the local wine and food offering in Martinborough. The recently developed Wine bar situated in the historical BNZ bank building is vibrant, modern, light, and airy, offering a sophisticated yet casual and contemporary food and beverage menu. The cuisine style offers sharing plates designed by local Chef Jonothan Hobden, focused on texture and flavour to pair with wines, of which are all available by the glass, not only from local Martinborough but also national and international wines.

The Beautiful building situated in the heart of Martinborough town square has recently undergone seismic strengthening and with that, now boasts a new contemporary yet elegant interior design featuring locally handprinted wallpaper by the gifted duo Ben and Helen Masters of Paperhands. 

The interior also features exposed brick walls that balance beautifully with the addition of several stunning Chandeliers commissioned by the extremely talented local Crystal Chain Gang artists Jim Dennison and Leanne Williams. 

Karahui also features the bank vault as a private room for dinning, a beautiful courtyard that has you looking out over the iconic town Square and will soon include the Bank Managers quarters which is currently undergoing renovations to offer a private event space and separate Gin/Wine tasting room. The team are proud to showcase Martinborough based Dr Beak Gin.
