Home to Te Kairanga Wines, Martinborough Vineyard and Lighthouse Gin, The Runholder offers relaxed vineyard dining, award-winning wines and unique tasting experiences. Whether you're stopping in for lunch, enjoying a glass of Pinot Noir or discovering the craft behind Lighthouse Gin, it's a must-visit Martinborough destination.

Cellar Door Experiences

Alongside regular wine and gin tastings, visitors can enjoy three premium guided experiences:

Lighthouse Gin Distillery Tour & Tasting – $40pp: Go behind the scenes to discover the craft of gin making, followed by a guided tasting.
Martinborough Vineyard Marie Zelie Masterclass – $60pp: Explore the history of Martinborough Vineyard while tasting three premium Pinot Noirs.
Te Kairanga Home Tour & Tasting – $60pp: Discover the winery's heritage, underground barrel hall and vineyards, with four premium wine tastings.

Each experience takes approximately 45 minutes, with complimentary experiences available with qualifying purchases.

Summer Opening Hours

From 23 November 2026 to 28 March 2027, the restaurant is open seven days a week, including Monday and Tuesday from 12–4pm.

Summer dinner service: 27 December – 9 January.

Holiday closures: 25–26 December and 1–2 January.

Private wedding closures: 28 November, 5 & 30 December, 30 January, 5 & 14 March.

What's On

Lighthouse Gin Summer Saturdays with DJ Takas: 9, 16 & 23 January and 6 & 13 February 2027.
